JOB OPPORTUNITY
INPEX CORPORATION (Inpex) is a Japanese based oil and gas company. We are currently drilling appraisal wells in Masela Block, offshore Maluku, as operator and planning to develop the deep water natural gas resources in near future. To support our growing operator activities, Inpex is searching for 2 (two) Geologists and 1 (one) Data Coordinator with the following criteria :
A) GEOLOGIST
Specific Requirements :
- More than 7 years of experiences in oil & gas field delineation/ development, extensive knowledge on well operations & data acquisition, correlation, subsurface mappings and volumetric calculations.
- Participation in consolidation and update synthesis work in onshore/ offshore basin and as block operator in these basins.
- Participation in evaluation and risk assessment for prospects in operated blocks.
- Conducts and realizes reliable geological interpretations by using the most updated and advanced techniques and concepts in order to optimize the efficiency of the exploration.
- Analyses and interprets the available geological data to set up the petroleum system to find out the potential in new area.
- Determines geological models (structural, sedimentological, seismic) at regional or local scale.
- Prepare geological documents supporting new prospects proposal or analysis reports after the geological interpretation or evaluation work.
- Generates the reliability of the geological interpretations in conformity with a good geological practice using the most advanced techniques and concepts.
B) JR. GEOLOGIST
Specific Requirements :
- Fresh graduates from Geology major or 0 to 3 years of experience in the oil industry, with interest in prospect evaluation, regional geological work and reservoir petrophysics.
- Generates the reliability of the geological interpretations in conformity with a good geological practice using the most advanced techniques and concept.
- Participates in technical meetings with partners or services company.
- Follows the competitor’s activity and prepares the division monthly scout report.
- Participation in well preparation (SOR, data acquisition program) and follow up (quantitative log interpretation) on the geological side.
- Generates the reliable data management for the G&G data by utilizing current data base software.
C) DATA COORDINATOR
Specific Requirements :
- As data coordinator or engaging staff of data management, 3 to 7 years of experience in the oil industry with geological background.
- Managing not only the various reports and the acquired data but also those digital data.
- Having certain knowledge of geological interpretation software (program).
- Having certain ability to handle data base software/ hardware.
- Gathering and editing Scouting Information.
- Generates the reliable data management for the G&G data by utilizing current data base software.
General Requirements for A, B, C :
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Geology.
- Fluent English in speaking and writing.
- Good academic background in geology (sedimentology, structural analysis).
- Good team working capability.
- Proficiency in basic computer use.
- Basic knowledge and handling ability of Geological interpretation software/ hardware or Workstation (software/ hardware).
