NAKILAT Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited Nakilat is a newly formed shipping company that is an integral part of the LNG supply chain for the State of Qatar. It is building a large fleet of vessels, for the global transportation of LNG from Qatar’s North Field, as well as being responsible on behalf of the State for the design and construction of a ship repair yard (SRY). SHIPPING AGENT World Leading Shipowner seeks applications from a Professional with Drive and Energy. The key function of this role is to see to the pre-arrangements for all vessels calling at Ras Laffan Port. This includes coordination amongst Ship Master, Owners, Charterers, Shippers, Surveyors, Operators, Pilots, Local Authorities, Suppliers, Service Providers and the Port Authorities to ensure that the vessel arrives as per schedule, is cleared on time is loaded according to plan, cargo documents executed, services rendered and clearance arranged to sail after the completion of the shipping task. Candidate should hold a tertiary qualification, preferably shipping or logistics, together with a minimum of at least 2 years experience in a shipping/agency environment. Computer literacy is essential and SAP knowledge is an advantage. Due to the nature of this work excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English are essential. Candidates will be repaired in hold a valid full driving licence.
